Mobile Apps – Known Issues / Bugs & Suggested Features

Here is a list of Known Issues and reported bugs for our Mobile Apps, along with their status. We have also included a section for suggested features.

If you are an autopo.st customer and would like to report a bug or issue not listed here, please kindly email info@autopost with the following details:

  • Platform (iOS or Android).

  • Make, model and software version (of the phone).

  • ┬áThe issue (along with steps to reproduce).

Known Issues / Bugs

    1. Reported Issue : Active Installs not being shown in the ‘Stats’ page on the control panel.
      • Platform = Android & iOS.
      • Bug status = Resolved.
      • Priority = Minor.
      • Resolution = This feature is still under development.
      • ETA =┬áThis has now been implemented.

 

    1. Reported Issue : Android app remains in notification area if not exited correctly via the back button.
      • Platform = Android.
      • Bug status = Confirmed.
      • Priority = Minor.
      • Resolution = This item is currently being investigated.
      • ETA = We currently have no ETA for when this may be resolved as it is still under investigation.

 

    1. Reported Issue : Erratic behaviour on incoming phone call.
      • Platform = Unspecified.
      • Bug status = Closed.
      • Priority = Major.
      • Resolution = We have verified expected behaviour on both apps.
      • ETA = No further investigation required. Verified expected behaviour on both Android and iOS Apps on incoming phone call (audio streaming stops).

 

    1. Reported Issue : On ‘Contact Us’ page, the ‘Submit’ button is hidden by the keyboard.
      • Platform = Android.
      • Bug status = Closed.
      • Priority = Cosmetic.
      • Resolution = We have been able to replicate this issue. Hitting the back button closes the keyboard to show the ‘Submit’ button
      • ETA = This has been investigated and it mirrors similar behaviour of other apps. No fix is scheduled for this item.

 

    1. Reported Issue : Apple iTunes affiliate icon does not display.
      • Platform = Android & iOS.
      • Bug status = Confirmed.
      • Priority = Minor.
      • Resolution = Due to an issue surrounding the Apple affiliate programme, we have been unable to include this feature in an initial release of the Apps.
      • ETA = This is still being developed and we’re working with Apple to ensure that, when the feature launches, it works correctly. There is currently no ETA for this feature to be introduced as it is still under development.

 

    1. Reported Issue : Amazon ‘Buy this song’ search using artist name only.
      • Platform = Android & iOS.
      • Bug status = Resolved.
      • Priority = Minor.
      • Issue = The Amazon ‘Buy this song’ search is only using the artist field (instead of artist and song title) leading to erratic searches for songs.
      • ETA = This bug has been resolved and a fix will ship with future updates.

 

    1. Reported Issue : Now Playing displays on ‘Listen Live’ page before ‘Play’ button is pressed.
      • Platform = Android & iOS.
      • Bug status = Resolved.
      • Priority = Minor.
      • Issue = The words ‘Now Playing’ appear immediately on selected the ‘Listen Live’ page, when they should only appear when the songs are playing and then be hidden if the player is not running. This issue has been identified and resolved.
      • ETA = This will be resolved in a future release of the Apps.

 

    1. Reported Issue : Audio cutouts on streaming.
      • Platform = Android.
      • Bug status = Closed.
      • Priority = Urgent.
      • Resolution = Reports of audio streams cutting out after a period of 5 minutes. We have not yet been able to replicate this issue. Tested on Android (various models) and iOS (various models) and streamed over 1 hour. No cutouts.
      • ETA = Closed, unable to replicate.

 

    1. Reported Issue : App not immediately updating list of streams.
      • Platform = iOS.
      • Bug status = Identified.
      • Priority = Major.
      • Resolution = Audio streams not immediately updating in App running iOS (only some versions) following updates via the control panel. User has to delete App and reinstall to force the stream updates. Streams will update automatically on their own. It is unknown which versions of iOS and iPhone this bug affects.
      • ETA = A fix has been identified and will be implemented in future releases so that the App immediately updates the stream list.

 

    1. Reported Issue : Logo issues on tablets (splashscreen and banner).
      • Platform = Android.
      • Bug status = Identified.
      • Priority = Cosmetic.
      • Resolution = Logos appear incorrectly on Android tablets during App startup and across the banner of the menu.
      • ETA = A fix is being proposed and will be implemented in future releases.

 

Suggested features

  1. Addition of a ‘thumbs up/down’ vote type buttons on the ‘Listen Live’ page to vote for songs, with results being sent via email.
  2. Following a successful submission of the ‘Contact Us’ details, the app should return to the ‘Main Menu’ screen.
  3. From the control panel, allow the choice for the stream to auto-start when selecting the ‘Listen Live’ page (rather than the current action, which is to press ‘Play’ for the stream to start).
  4. Addition of a volume control on the ‘Listen Live’ page.
  5. Ability to schedule PUSH notifications. Now implemented.
  6. Allow regionality of Amazon/iTunes affiliate links.
  7. Allow dynamic updating of Website, Facebook and Twitter links.
