Changes to the scheduler system
We wrote to you not too long ago to advise that we were making a change to how the ‘posting frequency’ is managed for both our Twitter and Facebook Auto Post services.
The reason we are making a change is because currently, when you make a change to the posting frequency, the changes are not made immediately, there is a delay of between a few minutes to a few hours before these changes are applied. We want to make any change you make ‘real time’ like all the other settings.
Automating this process means that certain aspect of the posting frequency options have changed, such as having a ‘free style box’ to having a ‘selection’ box. There are various reasons for this:
We had a number of customers inputting invalid data in the box which was breaking their accounts
Our system had to perform a verification process, which added more time to the changes becoming effective.
Due to the way the system was originally designed, it was not possible to make the posting frequency changes real time without making this change.
This format allows us to make enhancements in the future, such as enabling ‘time ranges’ for when the posting is active, including day of week.
